The Atlanta Singles Golf Association (ASGA) is an Associate Club with the Georgia State Golf Association (GSGA). Your annual GSGA membership, naming ASGA as your “home club”, will cost only $22.00.
To join GSGA, or for information about GSGA membership, send an email or call Trudy McGrath at 404-299-7827.
Our Club Championship is being held in October and in order to play in either the Scramble or Stroke Play, you must have an updated handicap index.
If you are a member of the Georgia State Golf Association (GSGA) and have a GHIN number, make sure you are posting your golf scores on the GSGA website. When you play in an ASGA sponsored golf event, you need to post your score (from the ASGA golf event) to the GSGA website.
If you do not have a GHIN number, when you play in an ASGA sponsored golf event make sure that you turn in your scorecard to the golf event leader. Golf event leaders provide your scores to ASGA for maintaining handicap indexes.
From time to time we need to upgrade the needs for keeping our Handicaps up to date. It is the event leaders responsibility to collect the scorecards and turn them into Graham Studley. A lot of times we play a format that is a departure from stroke play. In these cases the scores are not a true representation of the individuals ability to play 18 holes of golf. These scores do not count towards a Handicap.
Handicaps are based on completed 18 holes of golf by an individual over a rated course. These courses can be anywhere in the world.
Some members elect to forward their scores to the GHIN system, and as long as Graham has the GHIN number it can be kept up to date in the roster. Some elect to handle their scores through the golf club that they belong to, and those should be forwarded to Graham for the roster.
Keep track of your scores.....
